Description:

Panoramic view of the Mira River from a ten acre private getaway. Located near highway 22, midway between Fortress Louisbourg and the historic seaport of Sydney, you will enjoy the tranquility of nature at a convenient distance from most of Cape Breton's main attractions. Songbirds and woodpeckers abound and loons can be heard calling from the river. An occasional eagle or osprey may be seen overhead. Enjoy a dip in the river, a game on the tennis court, or a walk among the birch trees. The Mira River is Nova Scotia's longest navigable river. The property is at one of the widest points on the river and about six miles from the ocean. Please inquire about our 2 bedroom cottage also available.

Close by are several sandy beaches with gorgeous views, quaint fishing villages where fresh lobster and snow crabs may be purchased in season, authentically restored Fortress Louisbourg, and many entertainment venues easily accessible. 45 minutes from Cabot Trail & Baddeck. Rentals available nearby for kayaking.
